Direct Services
- Notification of victims' rights
- Information about the status of the court case
- Notice of court proceedings
- Information/explanation about the criminal justice proceedings
- Orientation to the courtroom setting
- Companion for court appearance
- Referrals to other services
- Private waiting area prior to court appearance
- Support with related problems
- Compensation assistance in obtaining witness fees and information as to eligibility and reimbursements for financial losses incurred by the victim
- Assistance with Orders for Protection/Restraining orders
- In-service presentations to community agencies and professionals regarding the impact of victimization and statutory rights for victims
- Community education in schools, churches, and civic organizations
Financial Assistance
- Victims may be eligible for financial assistance from the state if they have suffered economic loss as a result of violent crimes

Eligibility
Victims of crime. Residents of Chippewa, Lac Qui Parle and Yellow Medicine counties.

Call for information or assistance. Located on the third floor of the Courthouse.
