Description
Adaptations to your home to remove barriers for people with disabilities or age-related concerns. Modifications may include wheelchair ramps, grab bars, door widening, lowering countertops and other changes to make life easier and safer. Work can range from simple changes, like replacing doorknobs with pull handles, to major structural projects such as bathroom re-design.
Additional Information
The Ramp Project provides ramps for people with disabilities on a sliding fee scale.
* Ramps are modular, made of wood, require no footings and can be temporary or more permanent.
* Installation is completed by a project supervisor and community volunteers.
* Also provides assessments, information and referral about assistive technology and home modifications.
* May include installation of grab bars, handrails, and tub cut outs
