Description
Lifeline provides a discount on monthly cell phone (wireless) service plans, including Internet data, to people who meet the eligibility requirements below.
This company is approved by the State of Minnesota to offer the discount. Only one line per household can qualify.
Eligibility
The phone service must be in your name.
You may use this program if you are on one of the following:
* Federal Housing Assistance
* Medicaid/Medical Assistance
* Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) / Food Stamps
* Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
* Veterans Pension or Survivors Pension Benefit
If you live on a reservation, you may use this program if you have:
* Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
* Tribally administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
* Tribally administered Head Start (only those meeting the income standard)
* Food distribution program on an Indian reservation
If you do not participate in any of the above programs, you may still qualify based on income.
Application Instructions
You cannot enroll with more than one provider at a time, but you can transfer to a different program if their rules allow it. Requalification happens yearly.
