Description
Individualized Home Supports (IHS) with training, includes support and training.
Support includes:
* Cueing
* Skill maintenance
* Guidance
* Instruction
* Incidental assistance with activities of daily living
* Assistance with coordination of community living activities.
Training includes skill-building and instructional services to gain, retain and improve the person's experience living in the community.
IHS with Training is provided to adults when they need support and training in at least one of the community living service categories as specified in the person's assessment (e.g., MnCHOICES, long-term care consultation).
Allowable community living service categories include:
* Community participation
* Healthy, safety and wellness
* Household management
* Adaptive skills
There are three types of IHS:
* Without training
* With training
* With family training
IHS with training can be provided in the person's own home or in community spaces used by the general public, and either in person or remotely.

Habilitation services include therapeutic activities, assistance, training, supervision and monitoring in the areas of self-care, sensory and motor development, interpersonal skills, communication, socialization, health care, leisure and recreation, money management, household chores and other self-help, socialization and adaptive skills necessary to reside successfully in the community.
