A group of people that meet on a regular basis to share their experiences and provide mutual support.
Additional Information
International ministry rooted in the Catholic tradition and serving people of all faith backgrounds. The programs are based in local retreats, including sites in Minnesota.
Different sites offer different levels and types of support groups, which may include:
* Coping with Life Alone: A one-day introductory program designed to help those who are grieving the loss of a spousal relationship due to death, divorce or separation. The program helps the participants begin to deal with the loss and focus on what lies ahead.
* The Beginning Experience Weekend: Helps deal with the natural grief process and offers an opportunity for turning the pain of loss into an experience of positive growth.
* Moving Forward with Hope, Coping with Life Alone: A multi-session, in-person program designed to help those who are grieving the loss of a spousal relationship due to death, divorce or separation.

Individuals who are widowed, divorced, or separated. Ex-spouses cannot attend at the same time, same session; may attend different locations.

The groups also help members put their lives back together by providing practical information about legal issues, financial arrangements and other responsibilities of daily living.

Meeting formats may include in-person, telephone or Internet options.
