Description

Provides housing and supportive services to individuals and families who are homeless or in need of safe housing.


Transitional housing helps people live independently, address issues that led to homelessness or kept them homeless, rebuild their support network and transition into permanent housing.


The length of time a person can use the program is limited.


Additional Information

Provides housing and supports for men to help build rental history


Works mostly with African-American men living in chronic poverty with histories of incarceration, homelessness, unemployment, behavioral health issues and untreated physical health conditions.


Residents receive healthcare, workforce training, certificates, and coaching.

Eligibility

A participant must:
* Reside in Hennepin or Ramsey counties
* Not be charged with adult sex or arson crimes
* Be 18 years old or older
* Be incarcerated and about to be released and working with case worker
* Be recently released (90 days or less) and on probation/parole for at least a year
* Show a consistent willingness to change, either through victim impact group or other work
* Demonstrate a commitment to supporting children and practicing positive parenting


Fees

A small rental fee is charged to build rental history.
