Description
Shelter offering a safe space for battered women, their families and others who have experienced domestic abuse
Additional Information
Provides emergency safety shelter for women and their children experiencing domestic and sexual violence in their homes and relationships
Room for up to 22 individuals at a time, with an average stay of 2 - 3 months.
The shelter is similar to that of a dorm. There are common areas shared by all residents, such as the kitchen, living room, children's play room and laundry room.
Supportive services include:
* 24/7 crisis intervention
* Emergency safe housing, food, clothing and transportation
* Translators
* Counseling and support
* Information and referral
Also provides information, referral, advocacy and hotel access for men experiencing abuse.
