Offers cash or other short term aid to people in a crisis that is affecting their access to basic needs


Emergency assistance can vary based upon eligibility and available funds.

Can help with transportation issues:
* Gas vouchers
* Bus tokens for Hiawathaland Transit


Can help prevent having power shutoff by connecting people with help through:
* Energy Assistance (through Three Rivers Community Action)
* Heat Share (through the Salvation Army)
* Emergency Assistance (through Rice County Social Services or Catholic Charities Rural Outreach)
* If enough help is not available, Community Action Center may provide an interest free loan or a small grant from another funding source for utility payments

Intake Procedure: Call for appointment. Bring current proof of residence and income
