Individuals whose nationality, ethnic background and cultural ancestry are those of one of the countries and peoples of Central America, the contiguous land mass that extends from the southern border of Mexico to the northern border of the South American nation of Columbia.

Americans of Spanish or Latin American descent. Latin America is a geographic and cultural region comprising 18 Spanish-speaking countries, Brazil, and Haiti, or generally the areas which Spain and Portugal colonized in the Americas.

Individuals who are either citizens of Mexico or who identify themselves as part of the Mexican community.

Individuals whose nationality, ethnic background and cultural ancestry are those of one of the countries and peoples of the South American continent.

Adults who have been subjected to a persistent pattern of abuse which typically includes beating, hitting, shoving, choking, hair pulling, use of a weapon to hurt or threaten or other forms of physical assault that injure or endanger the individual. Physical abuse may also involve destruction of possessions, frightening outbursts of temper (throwing objects, punching walls, kicking doors), denial of medical care, abandonment of a partner in a dangerous or unfamiliar place, locking a partner out of the home, trapping a partner in the home or preventing him or her from leaving.

Individuals age 18 and older who have been raped or otherwise sexually assaulted or adults who, as children, were victims of incest.
