Adult Companion Services are non-medical social support services for people with disabilities or older adults who need supervision, care or assistance.
Provides a visiting service that helps reduce the loneliness and isolation that may be present as older adults experience life changes
The volunteer visitor and older person may spend time chatting, playing a game, going for a walk, or seeing a movie or other outing. Staff can set up a visiting schedule for current needs and then modify for future needs.
About This Location
When a person is on a disability waiver or the Alternative Care (AC) program and over the age of 18, companion services could include:
* Light housekeeping tasks
* Meal preparation
