Description
A driving assessment that evaluates a person's ability to drive a car.
They are typically done for older individuals or people with disabilities.
Additional Information
An occupational therapist provides a driving evaluation and training for older adults who have experienced a change in physical status as a result of illness, chronic disease or disability that may impact their ability to drive.
Evaluation and training will take place at the client's home so they are driving in familiar surroundings.
The on-the-road driving evaluation will occur in a company car. Adaptive equipment and training with the equipment is available, if needed.
