Any item, piece of equipment, or product system that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.
It can be acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized.
More information can be found in the CBSM Manual.
Effective assessments consider factors such as the person's abilities, limitations, preferences, and goals, alongside environmental and task-related factors by:
* Identifying the individual's needs and abilities
* Exploring potential assistive technology solutions
* Matching the solutions to the person's tasks and goals
* Trialing and refining the selected assistive technology options
Additional Information
Dose Flip is a lockable smart pillbox ensures individuals safely take the right dose at the right time.
Includes:
* Dose Flip Rental - up to 2 devices as needed
* Removable trays with lids, so meds can be setup early and easily swapped into the device when a refill is needed
* Notifications for caregivers if meds are not taken as directed
* Clients, caregivers, and family members can receive text, phone calls, or email notifications if pills are dispensed, missed, or waiting to be taken
* Get notified if the Dose Flip is being tampered with through the "Lid Off" notification

The equipment is usually attached to a personal emergency response system.
