Oh No Eighteen! offers independent living skills group training and individual transition planning and services in the Duluth and Iron Range area, with a strong focus on personal growth, adventure based learning, and team building skills.
The program provides:

Life Skills Group (Rochester) is a free independent living skills program offered to youth ages 16-21. This twelve week course will help you learn some of the skills you will need to live on your own.
Topics covered include:
* Employment
* Money management
* Community resources
* Family planning
* Sexuality
* Meal planning and cooking
* Nutrition
* Cultural diversity
* Recreation and leisure
* Time management
* Transportation
* Education and vocation
* Relationships and self-esteem

Red Path provides independent living skills, transition planning and case management to help youth in the Brainerd area transition to living on their own.
Youth meet weekly to discuss topics such as:
* Budgeting and finance
* Juvenile justice
* Healthy relationships
* First impressions
* Renters education
* Sexual health
* Diversity
* Transition planning
Leadership and Community Development

Seeking Experiences with Attitudes, Relationships, Community and Home (SEARCH), located in Willmar, provides guidance and support to youth ages 16-22 who have been in out-of-home placement (such as foster care, group homes, juvenile justice placements or change of custody) and are preparing to find their own living situation. This experiential independent living skills group includes a strong focus on adventure-based learning, leadership and team building skills. It includes retreats and field trips as well as individual transitional and independent living plans for youth who are in or have aged out of out-of-home placement care.

Oh No Eighteen! is a free program offered to youth ages 16 - 21 who are currently in or have aged out of care. This program is available for youth who have been in care during their teen years for at least 30 days, including foster care, residential treatment programs, group homes, and other types of residential care services.

Life Skills Group: Youth may sign up "on their own" and referrals are accepted by case workers, parole officers, therapists, teachers etc. All necessary paperwork must be complete and signed before attending group.

On My Own (OMO): Independent living skills programs serve young people that are 16 - 21 years of age.

Red Path is a free Independent Living Skills (ILS) program offered to youth ages 16-21 who are currently in or have aged out of care, including foster care, residential treatment, group homes, and other types of residential care services.

Application Instructions

Referrals are also accepted by case workers, probation officers, therapists, teachers, and other caring adults. While referrals are encouraged, youth participation is completely voluntary.
