Description

Opioid dependence is an addiction to painkillers (usually heroin, oxycodone or morphine). Detoxification and recovery methods can vary, but often involve stabilization via prescription medication, counseling, and/or behavioral therapy.


There are a large number of regulatory requirements governing Opioid Treatment drug abuse programs in Minnesota. It is a program licensed under Minnesota Statute 245G (or applicable tribal license) and/or registered with The Division of Pharmacologic Therapies portion of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Treatment provided as a non-residential outpatient program.


Eligibility

The person is currently addicted to an opioid drug and became addicted at least one year before admission for treatment.
