Service Details
Description
Creates policies and administers programs for nursing homes, boarding care homes and nursing facilities for people with mental illness. It sets rates and reviews nursing facility cost reports to determine payments for Medicaid-certified facilities.
It also ensures that nursing homes are following regulations regarding:
* Nursing facility services
* Quality of care
* Transitions to and from a nursing facility level of care
Offers resources providing information on nursing facilities and nursing facility care, including the Nursing Home Report Card, which helps consumers compare the quality of care in nursing facilities across the state.
