Description

This federally-funded office works with federal, state and local partners to support the resettlement of refugees in Minnesota and provides a variety of coordinated whole-family services for people under humanitarian protection who have been in the U.S. less than five years.


It makes sure that newcomer families have their immediate and basic needs met so they can live in dignity and achieve their highest potential.


The Refugee Resettlement Programs office helps eligible individuals and families by:
* Ensuring that mainstream programs and community resources are accessible
* Providing assistance in finding employment
* Supporting kids struggling academically or socially in school
* Providing support for immigration pathways to permanent residency through free and low-cost legal services
