Description
Protects residential customers from heat shutoff if they cannot pay their bills in full from October 1 - April 30
The program is available to all residential customers who make and keep a Cold Weather Rule payment plan.
All natural gas and electric companies must offer this protection.
The program does not include propane, fuel oil, wood heating or propane customers.
For financial help, call the Energy Assistance Hotline at (800) 657-3782.
Eligibility
The customer must meet the following conditions:
* The shutoff would affect the main heating source
* Must make and keep a payment schedule with the utility

Call your natural gas or electric company and ask for a Cold Weather Rule payment plan.
