Coordinated activities are provided to students to teach the knowledge and skills needed for post-school activities. This can include such things as employment, further education, community experiences or living on your own.

The Minnesota State Academy for the Blind (MSAB) transition program is designed to prepare students to make a smooth transition from the world of school to adulthood.


Transition related and special activities and programs include:
* College testing
* Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) at local college
* State Services for the Blind participation in transition planning for students as appropriate
* Academy Plus Transition Program for students 18-21
* Referral to appropriate outside agencies or service providers
* Independence and living skills
* Self-advocacy training


About This Location

The Minnesota State Academy for the Blind (MSAB) transition program is designed to prepare students to make a smooth transition from the world of school to adulthood.

Some classes with transition curriculum are required for all high school students, while others are electives chosen to meet student needs.
