Resources and money help with:
* Preventing homelessness
* Getting back into housing right away
* Staying in housing

Assistance usually takes the form of short-term help with rent. It may also help with utility costs. Payments may help to prevent foreclosure or eviction.

Additional Information

Support can be utilized to assist with rent and other housing expenses to prevent evictions. Assistance is typically one month only; housing costs must be affordable based on household income.

A safety inspection of the unit may be required prior to issuance of funds. Most of the funds are allocated quarterly by county.

** MVAC is not a shelter
** MVAC Homeless Prevention Funds cannot pay for temporary housing (hotels)
