Additional Information

Provides academic and vocational training to migrant and seasonal farm workers help participants become economically self-sufficient.

The National Farmworker Jobs Program includes:
* Emergency supportive services (nutritional, transportation, housing, utilities)
* Vocational skills training
* Customized training
* Job readiness skills
* Work experience
* On-the-job training
* Computer literacy
* English as a Second Language
* Agricultural upgrade training
* Pesticide safety training

MET also serves low-income and disadvantaged populations throughout the agency's service area.


Eligible participants are:
* Seasonal farmworkers primarily employed in agricultural labor with long periods of unemployment or underemployment
* Disadvantaged
* Citizens, permanent residents, refugees, asylees, parolee and other authorized immigrants
