Description

Operates a free program that loans materials to those with visual impairment


Materials include recorded and braille books and magazines, music scores in braille and large print, and specially designed playback equipment.


Services are available to residents of the United States who are unable to read or use standard print materials because of visual or physical impairment. Service is also extended to eligible American citizens living abroad.


A network of libraries is used to provide the free library service to persons who are unable to use standard printed material because of visual or physical disabilities.
