They regularly update data on over 9,000 assistance programs, 15,000 free/low-cost/sliding scale clinics and 1,500 drug discount coupons. They also publish information about resources for specific diseases.
They also have a discount card available that can help save up to 80% off the price of prescription medications and is accepted at over 70,000 pharmacies, including major chains and most regional chains The card is not an insurance program. There may be no savings for certain drugs, including many inexpensive generics.
There are no income, insurance or residency requirements, and no fees or registration process needed to use the card. One card can be shared with friends and family members, or they can print their own.
NeedyMeds offers applications to apply directly to drug manufacturers and other organizations that provide assistance. The application process is strictly between the applicant and the manufacturer. After the application has been completed and submitted, the manufacturer will notify directly about the eligibility.
