Description
Program that works on behalf of individuals and/or groups to make sure that they receive the benefits and services for which they are eligible
Additional Information
Provides the following advocacy services to victims:
* Hospital advocacy - Advocates are available to support victims when they seek medical assistance at a hospital or clinic.
* Legal advocacy - Advocates are available to support victims if they choose to report to the police. The advocates can arrange meetings and be available during court sessions.
* Support advocacy - Victims can request to work with an advocate who can give support and information. The advocates also work with family members and friends.
