Description

Mental Health Clinics provide outpatient mental health services for individuals with mental or emotional disorders, and other psychiatric conditions.


Services include:
* Intake and case assignment
* Mental health evaluation including assessment and diagnostic process
* Treatment planning
* Counseling services, consultation and individual therapy case review
* Access to emergency service
* Access to hospital admission


Some providers also provide rehabilitative mental health services, and some may also provide services to persons with developmental disabilities, alcoholism or substance abuse.


Mental Health Clinics also provide educational, informational, and preventive services to the community.


The mental health team includes:
* Licensed physician, who has completed an approved residency program in psychiatry
* Doctoral clinical, counseling, or health care psychologist
* Clinical social worker with a master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university or clinical psychiatric nurse with a master's degree


Additional Information

Outpatient therapy is offered at Range Mental Health Center in Hibbing and Virginia five days per week with extended hours on Monday and Tuesday evenings.


Explore problems with stress, anxiety, depression, anger, social fears, and family conflict in individual, marital, and family therapy sessions.


Psychological testing is also available to assess personality traits and dynamics, memory and attention processes, and general intellectual functioning.


Children's services include diagnostic evaluations, individual therapy, family therapy, and comprehensive psychological assessments for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning problems, depression, anxiety, and other problems.


Psychiatrists and advance nurse practitioners evaluate the need for psychiatric medications and meet with consumers on a regular basis for medication management. Psychiatric nurses are available to answer questions about the purpose, side effects, and regime of prescribed medications.
