Description

Program that works on behalf of individuals and/or groups to make sure that they receive the benefits and services for which they are eligible


Additional Information

Offers assistance to victims, survivors, family and friends who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and exploitation, human trafficking, and other crimes such as harassment, stalking, elder abuse, and homicide.


Advocates provide:
* Help and support at the hospital or law enforcement center
* Help locating resources, such as:
- Security and protection
- Food
- Clothing
- Household items
- Personal supplies
- Thrift Store vouchers
* Provides legal advocacy and/or criminal justice system intervention
* Specialized services for youth clients ages 12 - 18


Speakers are available to provide community awareness presentations, educational programs for schools and other groups, and professional trainings on issues relating to domestic violence, sexual assault and general crime issues.
