Description
Offers Age Safely at Home grants. The program provides financial assistance and project management that will help low-income older or disabled adults to modify their homes to meet their safety needs and/or acquire essential furnishings.
Helping people maintain their housing helps them to age in place and live independently, comfortably, and safely.
The need of the household will be determined by the Housing Inspector's assessment of their current living situation along with the household's expressed needs.
Renovations include but are not limited to:
* Ramps
* Handrails
* Grab bars
* Walk-In showers
* Highboy toilets
* Main floor laundry
* Replacing flooring to prevent trip hazards
