Service Details

Description

Respite provides care on a short-term basis for a person who cannot take care of themselves, and who is usually taken care of by an unpaid family member or friend. The program is designed to provide temporary coverage for the unpaid caregiver during an absence or need for relief.


Additional Information

Provides up to 18 hours per month of respite care for a full time primary caregiver who lives with and provides care for a person with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).


Eligibility

Must be a full time primary caregiver. Program cannot be used while caregiver is at work.
