Additional Information

Hiawathaland Transit provides dial-a-ride service. Buses can transport anyone anywhere within city limits.


The Hiawathaland Auxiliary Regional Transit (HART) program provides volunteer drivers to transport residents of Goodhue, Rice and Wabasha counties who are unable to utilize public transportation. Can provide transportation to:

Eligibility

Dial-A-Ride service is available to everyone for any reason. In cities where both bus-route and Dial-A-Ride exist, some eligibility restrictions do apply to the Dial-A-Ride service.

HART serves all communities in Goodhue, Rice, and Wabasha counties.
HART passengers must be able to transfer in and out of vehicle with minimal to no assistance. Transportation cannot be provided for medical emergencies. Riders must have a working phone number in order to confirm appointments.


Application Instructions

Schedule a ride online or by calling the dispatch center between 4:30am - 9:00pm, Monday - Friday and between 7:00am - 4:30pm on Saturday and Sunday at (866) 623-7505 or TTY MN Relay service (800) 627-3529.
* Individuals are served on a first come, first serve basis. It is recommended that individuals reserve their trip 24 hours in advance.
* Individuals needing wheelchair accommodations should indicate this to the dispatcher when scheduling his/her trip.


For the HART program, call (866) 623-7505, or email HART@threeriverscap.org. One week advance notice is strongly encouraged for all ride requests, with a minimum of 72 hours notice. Request for a ride does not guarantee a trip, which depends upon volunteer availability.


Fees

Dial-A-Ride fare, one-way ride, $1.75
Exact fares only. Drivers do not make change.


Punch passes and tokens can be purchased at local city halls
Assistants with riders that have disabilities ride free


Fees for the HART service depend upon the trip, and can be determined when scheduling.
