Description
Companionship programs provide volunteers to visit with people who are in the hospital, unable to leave their home, or socially isolated.
Visitors provide conversation, reading or other social activities to help keep older adults or people with disabilities engaged.
Additional Information
Trained adult volunteers are matched with an elder in the community to provide friendship and support through regular one-to-one visits (generally 2 - 4 times a month for about an hour).
