Description
The Affordable Housing Program partners with the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Greater Minnesota Housing Fund, Minnesota Housing Finance Agency and other agencies to create quality affordable housing in West Central Minnesota for families.
A variety of floor plans are available depending on family needs. Homes can be modified for handicapped accessibility upon request.
Homes are built by a 30-year veteran carpenter, minimum security inmates and local subcontractors. Homes are high quality, durable, energy efficient and require minimal maintenance. Homes are inspected by a state licensed building inspector to ensure codes are met and/or surpassed.

Eligibility
Available to residents of Douglas, Pope, Stevens, Otter Tail, and Grant Counties. This organization provides housing resources to individuals with criminal histories re-entering the general population from a correctional facility.
Participants must be at or below 100% of the state median income.
