Description
Meal delivery programs prepare and deliver nutritious meals to older adults and people with disabilities who are unable to make the food for themselves or travel to a meal site.
Additional Information
Meals are home delivered from 10:30am - 12:30pm, Monday - Friday (not on holidays). Diabetic meals are available.

When receiving this service under waiver programs, you can receive up to one home-delivered meal per day.
Eligibility
To receive this service under the Alternative Care (AC), Essential Community Supports (ECS) and Elderly Waiver (EW) programs:
* The person must have an assessed need for the service that is documented in their support plan
* The service must be the most cost-effective method to provide the person with a nutritionally balanced meal
To receive this service under the Brain Injury (BI), Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI), Community Alternative Care (CAC) and Developmental Disabilities (DD) waivers:
* The person must be age 18 or older
* The person must be unable to prepare their own meals due to their disability
* The person must have an assessed need for the service that is documented in their support plan
* The service must be the most cost-effective method to provide the person with a nutritionally balanced meal
* No one else is available to prepare the meals
If you have waiver funding, the support plan (based on an assessment of your needs) determines which services are funded through your waiver.

Eligibility
Clients must be:
* Live in Winona or Goodview
* Unable to prepare adequate meals for themselves
* Homebound or unable to drive
* Live alone or with no other adults willing to prepare meals for them
* Be home between 10:30am - 12:30pm to receive meals

* A welcome visit to your home will be made before the first delivery to ensure access for volunteers.
* Usually meals can begin within two business days of a referral.
Fees
Meals cost $6.25 and milk can be added for $0.50 more for self-pay clients.
